Linien, Schichten, Flächen, vergleichbar mit geologischen Formationen, Diagrammen, typografischen Systemen oder Partituren.
Sowohl das Buch als auch die großformatigen Drucke basieren auf Collagen, die zwischen 2017 und 2021 entstanden sind.
Ausgangsmaterial sind vertikal geschnittene Zeitschriften im Standardformat. Angelehnt an die Technik des klassischen Filmschnitts wurde hier bewusst „vor“ der Handlung geschnitten: Einzelne Merkmale, Handlung, Schrift, Figuren und inhaltliche Informationen wurden konsequent weggelassen.
Im Entstehungsprozess der horizontalen Montage treten die einzelnen, vermeintlich neutralen Elemente in eine unvorhersehbare Interaktion. Aus der trivialen Überlagerung einzelner Ebenen entstehen ästhetisch aufgeladene Konglomerate, es bilden sich eigenständige Atmosphären oder Systeme, die dem Betrachter eine Art „Lesbarkeit“ oder Rhythmus vortäuschen.

Both the book and the large prints are based on collages that were created between 2017 and 2019. The starting materials are magazines in standard format that have been cut vertically. Based on the technique of classic film editing, a conscious cut was made here “before” the action: Individual characteristics, action, writing, characters and content information were consistently left out.
In the creation process of the horizontal montage, the individual supposedly neutral elements enter into an unforeseeable interaction. From the trivial layering of individual layers, aesthetically charged conglomerates emerge, independent atmospheres or systems form, which simulate a kind of "legibility" or rhythm to the viewer.
